About
My name is Dan Tompkins and I’m a character designer. If you’re here, we must’ve crossed paths during my travels, or you stumbled upon this page while traversing the murky depths of the internet. Either way, welcome! I’m glad you’re here. Feel free to take a look around, and if you see something you like, don’t be shy!
Ever since I was a wee lad, I was a creative at heart. Drawing comics, building with Legos, making movies for school assignments, I always gravitated towards the artistic path. Somewhere down the line however, I fell into the trap that I had to get a “real job," and my creative side went dormant... until senior year of college (the best year to figure out a major). It was here I discovered graphic design, thanks to an incredible professor who changed the course of my life. Ever since that class, I have had an insatiable appetite to hone my skills as an artist, and become the best storyteller I can be. So far this pursuit has taken me to Cambodia, the Galapagos Islands, Seattle, Washington to sell bugs, and now Los Angeles. If that’s where this train has taken me so far, there’s absolutely no way I’m ever stepping off.
